Skull-mounting fixation base for 2 flexible arms for the B Martin Yasargil brain retractor system. Clamps directly to the skull clamp and accepts 2 independently positioned flexible arms for simultaneous 2-point brain retraction.
The BLR-298 Fixation Base is the skull-mounting foundation for the Yasargil 2-arm brain retractor configuration. It clamps directly to the Mayfield skull clamp or any compatible skull fixation device, bringing the flexible arm attachment points immediately adjacent to the craniotomy site. Two flexible arms can be mounted independently and directed toward any target around the operative field.
Sold as the fixation base only — flexible arms (BLR-296) and spatula supports are ordered separately, allowing the surgeon to build a customised configuration. The close proximity of the mounting point to the skull dramatically reduces the lever arm between fixation and spatula tip, maximising rigidity and minimising vibration at the brain-spatula interface.
