Yasargil Brain Retractor – Ear Specula Holder (BLR-297)
Ear specula holder for the B Martin Yasargil flexible arm system. Uses the Yasargil skull-mounted fixation and flexible arm mechanism to hold ear specula in a fixed, hands-free position during ENT and lateral skull base surgical procedures.
The BLR-297 Ear Specula Holder extends the versatility of the Yasargil system beyond brain retraction to ENT and lateral skull base surgery. It consists of a skull-mounted fixation base and flexible arm configured to hold an ear speculum in a fixed, stable position during microscopic ear and skull base procedures, freeing both the surgeon’s hands for instrument use.
The flexible arm mechanism provides the same shapeable, lock-on-demand action as the standard brain retractor arms, allowing the speculum to be positioned at any angle before being fixed rigidly for the duration of the procedure. The set consists of the fixation base and flexible arm adapted for ear speculum attachment.
Microscopic ear surgery (stapedectomy, tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy), lateral skull base surgery, and any procedure requiring hands-free ear speculum positioning under the operating microscope.
