360-degree rotatable swivel adapter for the B Martin Mayfield head rest system. Connects the skull clamp to the base unit and allows the head and clamp assembly to be rotated to any angle in the horizontal plane before locking, enabling precise patient positioning for any neurosurgical approach.
The BM-HR-102 Swivel Adapter provides full 360-degree rotation between the base unit and the skull clamp assembly, giving the surgeon complete freedom to position the patient’s head at any angle relative to the operating table. This is essential for procedures requiring specific head orientations — such as lateral, oblique, or rotated positions for temporal, parietal, or posterior fossa approaches — where a fixed adapter would limit surgical access. Once the required orientation is achieved, the swivel mechanism locks firmly to maintain the exact head position throughout the procedure. The adapter connects directly to the BM-HR-101 base unit below and accepts the BM-HR-104 skull clamp above via the standard connection interface. CNC-machined from surgical-grade steel with controlled hardening for the rigidity and durability demanded by neurosurgical applications.
