Leyla Brain Retractor – Coupling Head Turnable (BLR-290 / BLR-291)
Turnable coupling head for the B Martin Leyla brain retractor system. Rotates freely on the holding rod to allow the arm attachment positions to be oriented toward the operative field before locking. Alternate to the standard BLR-289 coupling head.
The BLR-290/BLR-291 Turnable Coupling Head is the rotatable alternative to the standard BLR-289 coupling head. The turnable design allows the entire head — and all attached flexible arms — to be rotated around the holding rod axis to sweep the arm positions into the most favourable orientation relative to the craniotomy, before locking in position. This is particularly useful when the operating table and patient position make it difficult to align the standard fixed coupling head with the target operative corridor.
The turnable head provides the same arm capacity as the standard coupling head and is fully compatible with all B Martin Leyla flexible arms and spatula supports. CNC-machined from surgical stainless steel.
Used in Leyla brain retractor configurations where the standard fixed coupling head cannot be oriented to direct arms toward the operative corridor. Preferred in lateral, prone, and oblique patient positions.
