Leyla Brain Retractor – Coupling Head, 5 Flexible Arms (BLR-289)
Coupling head for the B Martin Leyla brain retractor system, accepting up to 5 flexible arms simultaneously. Mounts on the holding rod directly above the craniotomy and distributes the flexible arms in any direction around the operative field for multi-point brain retraction.
The BLR-289 Coupling Head is the central hub of the Leyla brain retractor system, sitting atop the holding rod and providing the connection points for up to five flexible retractor arms. The coupling head allows each flexible arm to be inserted and locked independently at any angle, enabling the surgeon to direct spatulas toward multiple target points around the craniotomy simultaneously.
With five arm positions, complex neurosurgical corridors requiring retraction from several directions — such as deep temporal or bifrontal approaches — can be managed without additional table fixtures. The head mounts directly onto the BLR-288 holding rod and accepts all B Martin Leyla flexible arms (BLR-283). CNC-machined from surgical stainless steel.
Multi-point brain retraction in complex craniotomies: deep temporal, bifrontal, skull base, and aneurysm surgery where 3–5 simultaneous retraction vectors are required.
