Kilner Scissors B-20 – Fine Dissection Scissors
Kilner Scissors are fine, sharp-pointed dissecting scissors developed by the plastic surgeon Sir Harold Gillies’s colleague Pomfret Kilner. B Martin supplies the Kilner pattern as code B-20 in both 12 cm / 4¾” and 15 cm / 6″ lengths, covering the full range of fine soft-tissue and flap dissection needs.
The Kilner scissor is close in character to the Joseph, with a slim shank and pointed precision tips, but its blades are proportioned for general fine-dissection work rather than specifically rhinoplasty. It is a popular choice in plastic, ENT, and general surgery where a precise sharp-pointed scissor is needed for dissecting soft tissue along planes, trimming fine structures, and handling delicate flaps. Both length options are made from surgical-grade stainless steel, satin-polished for a non-reflective finish, and fully autoclavable.
Applications & Clinical Uses
General fine-dissection work in plastic and reconstructive surgery, ENT, and general surgery; flap shaping and soft-tissue division where a precise pointed scissor is required.
