Joseph Scissors B-18 & B-19 – Plastic Surgery Scissors
Joseph Scissors are fine, sharp-pointed scissors designed by Dr Jacques Joseph, the founder of modern rhinoplasty. B Martin offers the classic 14 cm / 5½” pattern as codes B-18 and B-19, giving plastic, ENT, and fine general surgeons a reliable option for precise cutting in rhinoplasty and delicate facial work.
The Joseph scissor is slightly longer than an Iris scissor but with the same precision point and the same emphasis on fine controlled cutting. The long slender shank gives clear access to the nasal cavity and surrounding tissue planes, while the sharp-tipped blades cut cartilage, skin, and soft tissue cleanly without crushing. This pattern is the instrument of choice for nasal septal work, tip refinement, and fine facial flap dissection. Available in both straight and curved tip configurations across the B-18 and B-19 range. Manufactured in surgical-grade stainless steel with precision cutting edges and satin polish finish; fully autoclavable and reusable.
Applications & Clinical Uses
Standard in rhinoplasty for nasal tip, alar, and septal cartilage work; used throughout plastic and reconstructive surgery for fine skin and flap dissection; also used in ENT for delicate sinonasal procedures.
