Heath Suture Scissors B-35 – Angled Stitch-Cutting Scissors
Heath Suture Scissors are angled stitch-cutting scissors designed with a distinctive hook-shaped lower blade that slides cleanly under the suture without pulling on the healing wound. B Martin supplies this pattern as code B-35 in the standard 15 cm / 6″ ward and OT length.
The Heath pattern is the preferred suture-removal scissor on surgical wards because the angled hook tip lifts the suture away from the skin before the cut is made, eliminating the risk of the tip pressing on or scratching the healed wound. The blades are precision-ground for clean suture division at a single pass. At 15 cm / 6″ working length, the scissor is equally useful in the OT for intraoperative suture trimming. Made from surgical-grade stainless steel, satin-polished, autoclavable, and supplied for long reusable service.
Applications & Clinical Uses
Primary use is post-operative suture removal on surgical wards; also used in the operating theatre for intraoperative suture trimming, and in clinics for routine stitch removal.
