The B Martin Small Fragment LCP Instrument Set (BSF-101) provides every instrument required to apply locking compression plates in the 3.5mm screw system — from initial exposure and fracture reduction through drilling, tapping, and final screw insertion. The LCP (Locking Compression Plate) system allows both locking screws for angular stability and conventional cortical screws for interfragmentary compression to be used in the same plate, making it the standard fixation system for small bone fractures worldwide.
The set covers the full operative sequence: periosteal elevation, bone exposure with Hohmann retractors, fracture reduction with self-centering and reduction forceps, plate contouring with bending irons, and screw fixation using quick-coupling drill bits, taps, depth gauge, and torque screwdriver. Two sizes of Hohmann retractor (8mm and 12mm) and two types of reduction forceps (pointed and serrated) provide versatility for the range of approaches used in small bone surgery. All instruments are manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel with CNC machining and are supplied in a graphical aluminium box for storage, transport, and autoclave sterilisation.
