Operating Scissors B-48 to B-51 – Curved Sharp/Sharp

Curved sharp/sharp operating scissors combine maximum cutting efficiency with the ergonomic advantage of a curved blade. The curve allows the surgeon’s wrist to remain in a natural position while the blade tips stay visible in the operative field, reducing fatigue and improving precision during deep or extended procedures. Both sharp tips ensure simultaneous, clean tissue penetration on every cutting stroke. The B Martin B-48 to B-51 are available in four lengths — 14 cm, 15.5 cm, 17 cm, and 19 cm — to suit every operative depth and patient size. All are manufactured in surgical-grade stainless steel with a satin finish and individually tested before dispatch.

Used in general surgery for deep-cavity tissue cutting and dissection, thoracic and abdominal procedures, and all operative fields where curved scissors improve access and visibility. The curved pattern is the most widely used configuration for open abdominal surgery.
