Metzenbaum-Nelson Scissors (B-88 to B-99)

The Metzenbaum-Nelson scissors (B-88 to B-99) combine the long-handle, reduced-bulk Metzenbaum shank with the wider Nelson blade proportions, resulting in a fine-tissue dissector with greater cutting capability and reach than the standard Metzenbaum-Fino. Both straight and curved patterns are offered in six sizes extending from 14.5 cm to 30 cm — making the 30 cm version one of the longest general dissecting scissors in the B Martin range. The straight pattern (B-88 to B-93) is suited to unobstructed direct dissection paths in abdominal and thoracic surgery. The curved pattern (B-94 to B-99) is the instrument of choice for deep pelvic dissection, retroperitoneal surgery, and bariatric procedures where the long curved blade can navigate around vessels, the urinary tract, and bowel with precision and minimal trauma.
