The Mayo with Lips blade incorporates a folded lip along the blade edge that hooks under the wound margin, preventing the blade from migrating inward and maintaining consistent exposure without readjustment. This makes it particularly effective for retracting thick abdominal walls in obese patients or deep wound cavities where standard flat blades tend to slide. The B Martin Omni Track Mayo with Lips blades (BMO-126 to BMO-131) are available in six sizes ranging from 30 x 30 mm for narrower incisions to 85 x 80 mm for wide laparotomies. Each blade is CNC-machined from surgical stainless steel and rod-mounted for compatibility with all BES-110 blade joints.
