BP Handle B-1 – Scalpel Handle No. 3

The B Martin BP Handle B-1 is the standard No. 3 scalpel handle — the most widely used surgical blade holder in the world. With its classic flat body, transverse serrated grip, and precision slip-lock blade slot, the No. 3 is the workhorse handle on every surgical, dental, and podiatry tray. It accepts the full range of small surgical blades used for fine incisions and dissection.

SKU: B-1 Categories: ,

The B-1 is manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel and finished in a satin polish that eliminates glare under operating lights. The flat body carries fine transverse serrations which give the surgeon a firm, non-slip hold whether using a pencil grip or a palm grip. The blade-fitting slot is machined to exact tolerance so that #10-series blades click home positively and stay locked throughout the cut. Every handle is individually inspected and laser-marked with the B Martin identifier before it leaves the workshop. As a reusable instrument, the BP Handle No. 3 is fully autoclavable and designed to withstand hundreds of sterilization cycles without loss of fit, finish, or blade-retention force.
